To mark Black History Month in the United States, New Balance launched a collection, My Story Matters, to make a statement about how important black voices are.

The brand claims that this collection is not just about capitalising on topical issues to launch a new colourway and matching apparel, it is genuinely committed to empowering and providing a platform for Black expression both within its business and in the community as a whole.

The range draws its inspiration from the very communities that have defined sneaker culture for decades and aims to reflect these this heritage and history, as well as the important stories that make it up.
